LMH13000RQEEVM: Output current setting

Part Number: LMH13000RQEEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH13000

There is RSET pin 1 to set the output current. There is another pin VSET pin 2 to set the output as well.

  1. Which pin use to set the output current?
  2. If RSET uses to set the current, can I use DAC to drive this pin to set the output current?

Any other way I can use DAC to set the output current?

  • Hi Henry,

IOUT = VSET / RSET × k  where K = 50000 for mode 1 and 10000 for mode 0. (see the electrical table of the datasheet)

It is recommended to connect 20Kohm resistor from RSET pin to ground and then adjust VSET to set the required current at IOUT.

And yes you can use DAC to set the voltage at VSET which in turn set the current at IOUT based on the above equation.

  • If you are using LMH13000 EVM to test out in the lab ,please ensure C2 cap on RSET pin is dismounted before you start any characterization

  • Hi Anant,

According to the data sheet page 24 with APC loop. How the VSET get set the value initially. I assuming VREF is the DAC output drive this VREF to set the current output.

    ...

    Thanks
