Hello,

I compare spec of OPA360/361 vs competitor part (NJR), and I noticed the video amp internal block never mention 75 ohm driver but only LPF and 6dB gain.

Can you explain why the video amp does not need a 75ohm driver? Is it due to the 80mA output current drive capability? Thanks.

    Phlip,

    The OPA360 and OPA361 are designed to drive a 75-ohm coaxial line and terminated load. The output of the amplifer should include the 75-ohm front termination resistor as shown in the applications diagrams. This makes the effective load on the op amp equal to 150 ohms. The amplfiers are designed for sufficient output current to drive this load to standard video line levels.
