TLV3501A-Q1: PSPICE model

I have used the PSPICE model of TLV3501 comparator given in the website for simulation in LT SPICE. Can you please tell me whether this model considered all the errors(offset error, offset drift etc) while giving the output or is it the ideal model?

  • Our PSpice macro-models are neither ideal nor worst-case (min or max). Instead they simulate TYPICAL performance at 25 deg C as specified in the datasheet - see below.

    Thus, if you want to simulate the max offset voltage at 25 deg C, you would need to add an 5.5mV (6.5mV-1mV) external voltage source in series with positive input terminal.  When it comes to temperature drift, a typical value of +/-5uV/C represents one standard deviation (or 1-sigma), thus for worst-case analysis you should use 5-sigma or +/-25uV/C.  This would mean that for the worst-case simulation over temperature range, you should add 8mV external voltage source in series with positive input terminal.
