OPA2277: MSL Labeling Discrepancy (MSL2 vs MSL3)

I'd guess that during the change to 200 mm wafers, the MSL was upgraded from 3 to 2, but as long as there might be old chips in some warehouse, the website still shows the worst-case MSL.

The label is correct for this shipment. You can treat these devices as if they were either MSL 2 or MSL 3.

Agreed with Clemens.  The MSL level is usually determined by the packaging and packaging site, and during the wafer transition a new packaging site was used.  The new site upgraded to MSL level 2, but the data sheet did not get updated to MSL level 3, because some devices are still in stock that could still have the older site MSL level (3).  The label on the package is the correct MSL level for the devices inside, the data sheet only shows the lowest possible level.
