Is it possible to adjust the gain on the INA600B by connecting external resistors to the input terminals (IN+, IN-) and varying the input resistance?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using E2E! The INA600 is an integrated difference amplifier, where the resistor values are ratiometrically matched internally. By adding external resistors, they must also have very low tolerance and drift so that each input sees near equal impedance, or else the CMRR of your device will be degraded significantly. However, this is a way that you can functionally adjust the gain.

    On top of this, the absolute internal resistance values from device to device can vary by +/-15%. Therefore, choosing a single value for your external resistors will result in different gain equations from device to device, even with low tolerance/drift.

    This is why we typically recommend to perform any additional scaling in another stage after a difference amplifier. Let me know if you have any other questions.
