Hi,

I am currently developing an automotive audio application using the TAS6501QPWPRQ1 (TAS6501-Q1) amplifier controlled by a TI MSPM0 microcontroller through the I²C interface.

I would like to request any available software resources that can help accelerate driver development for this device, including:

  • TAS6501-Q1 reference driver source code
  • Register-level initialization examples
  • MSPM0 firmware examples for TAS6501-Q1
  • Evaluation board software package
  • Application notes related to device configuration
  • Register programming guide
  • Example sequences for:
    • Device initialization
    • Amplifier enable/disable
    • Volume control
    • Mute/unmute
    • Fault diagnostics
    • Real-time load diagnostics
    • Current-sense configuration

Our target environment is:

  • MCU: TI MSPM0
  • Interface: I²C
  • IDE: Code Composer Studio
  • Application: Automotive audio amplifier control

I reviewed the TAS6501-Q1 product documentation and evaluation resources but could not find any publicly available driver package or reference firmware. The device documentation indicates that support resources and technical assistance are available through TI support channels and the E2E forums.

If there is any non-public reference software, evaluation firmware, or application example available under NDA, I would appreciate guidance on how to obtain access.

    Right now, we only have a very basic driver, I shared with you through e-mail, kindly check it.

    Full feature still under developing, may needs several month.

    Hi,

    The currently configured device/platform is not directly even indirectly  relevant to TAS6424, as the target device is TAS6501-Q1 (single-channel digital input amplifier).

    Adding support for TAS6501-Q1 should not take several months. If my bandwidth permits, I can work on an initial driver implementation within 2–3 days and share it for review and further API refinement.

    Meanwhile, please let me know if there are any immediate or a minimum feature set that should be supported first.

    Hi Amit

    We don't have software engineer to specially working on the driver. The file provided to you having the basic structure, and contains the normal function like initialization, enable/disable.  Needs customer adjust it to the target IC.  Could get the necessary register configure from PPC3 software.
