I am using AMC1311 for a sensor that was used to measure the power line. The low side of AMC1311 was fed into an adc pin to a TI microcontorller.
- assume I use AC power line for input, 120v, 60Hz. I assume the peak could be 170v.
- I use a 1M ohm and 10k ohm for divider, and voltage from 10km is fed into pin2 of AMC11311
- pin3 and pin4 are connected to the negative of power line.
My question is: Is this design OK? Do I need to add a rectifier? some people told me I don't need.
sorry for this easy question. I am not EE, and just started to solve this problem.
