INA226-Q1: Part marking

Hi TI team

  • Hi,

The marking appears to be commercial grade.

Looks to me, there is a discrepancy between the packing label and the device marking. I’ll work to find out what happened, and report back. There was a recent change in the flow and it is possible that the device is Q1 grade, yet missed the “Q” mark.

  • Hi Gung

In case of was marking error could you help me to check if all the material that we received under below invoice/PO has the same issue??

In case of was a marking error TI can issue a letter where confirm that material is automotive grade.

  • Hi Cesar,

I’m working with colleagues on the production side to sort out things. This likely will take us to next week. However I’ll report any findings if they become available.

We can understand that it will take time to validate the information with the factory, but this issue will apply charges to IT due we have material on stopped waiting for response if it´s correct or not.

  • Guang

Do you have some update for this topic??  material is on hold waiting for TI response if it meets automotive garde, charges for this issue will be applied

  • Hi Cesar,

Can you confirm if a desiccant was included in the packing bag of this material?

We can confirm that this material is auto grade. Because the material was produced using SWR (special work request), rather than through normal production flow, some paperwork mistakes were made, such as the top marking.

The confirmation whether a desiccant was included will help confirm further if the production process was followed completely.

Unfortunately, i can´t confirm if dissecans was there because material was used on production, please provide us confirmation letter where TI confirm that material meet auto grade.

  • Hi Cesar,

Yes, I can confirm that the material is auto grade.

The reason I asked the question about the desiccant is it was not mentioned in the SWR. However the chance of a mistake here should be slim. As the MSL was specified, operations should have followed the proper procedure.

Based on our findings, you should be able to continue production with this material.

    Regards

  • Hi Guan

We need 8D report with corrective and preventive actions as well as charges for line down will be applied, please let me know how we can submit the line down cost once I get it from my team.

  • Hi Cesar,

Not a problem. I’m not clear myself on the proper channel for request submission, I’ll research into it and let you know once I find out.

    Regards
