AMC3330: Using only one output

Hi

Is it ok to use only OUT P and ground to get a single ended output and keep OUT N floating? This will be fed to a schmitt trigger. There will be an RC filter between OUTP and the schmitt trigger.

Hi Damith,

Yes - this is OK. Please keep OUTN floating or to GND through a ~10k resistor. Do not directly ground as it's driven and could damage the IC.

(Edit: Found the answer. of course IC have a 1.44 common mode voltage. )

I have tried to simulate this with TINA TI and amc3330 model from the product page. When i use OUTP only, it gives me a constant DC level of about 1.4V and actual measure signal is superimposed on top of it.
Could this be a problem with the spice model.
