Part Number: THS7374
Hi team,
One of our customers is considering the use of the THS7374 for an EF signal camper block application.
Since the datasheet does not specify Noise Figure (NF) characteristics, we would like to confirm whether the THS7374 can provide sufficient performance for FM audio signals.
The intended signal path is as follows:
Optical Signal → Electrical Signal Conversion → Signal Combining Stage → THS7374 Amplifier
Even if favorable results are obtained during the prototype evaluation stage, additional verification will be required before a production adoption decision can be made.
We are particularly concerned that inserting an amplifier after the signal combining stage may increase noise, resulting in degraded mute sensitivity and a reduction in communication range (receiving distance).
Could you please provide the following information?
1. Noise Figure (NF) data or equivalent noise performance information for the THS7374.
2. Input-referred noise and output noise specifications.
3. Any recommendations or application experience regarding the amplification of FM-modulated audio signals.
4. The expected impact on SNR when the THS7374 is used after a signal-combining stage.
5. Any concerns, limitations, or considerations regarding the use of the THS7374 in this application.
We would appreciate any available data, recommendations, or technical insights that could help us evaluate the suitability of the THS7374 for this application.
Best regards,
Kyohei Yabana
