Hi TI Team, 

We are looking for a automotive-qualified Class-D audio amplifier IC. Please find our requirements below:

  • Supply voltage: 8 V to 36 V
  • Input: Digital input [I2S / TDM]
  • Output power: 4 x 25 W, 4 ohm
  • Automotive qualified

Kindly suggest a suitable low cost Class D Amplifier like 1L Modulation (one inductor per channel).

    Hi Amirthathaarani,

    The supply voltage requirement is fairly high. The only device family that would be able to meet this requirement is the TAS6684 family, and my recommendation would be TAS6684A. 

    The output power requirement is also interesting. Any reason they won't consider using a buck/boost converter to keep the supply voltage at around 15V? They will need something to boost 8V anyway if they want to guarantee the 25W output (8V won't be enough).
