AMC0202D: PSRR over 1MHz

Part Number: AMC0202D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC33420

Hi team,

My customer uses AMC0202D with high-side supply of UCC33420.

Customer is concerend about PSRR of AMC0202D because the ripple freuqnecy of UCC33420 are around 1MHz and switching freuquency is 64.5MHz, which customer observed at output in customer's board.

Do you have any data about PSRR over 1MHz?

  • Hi Hayashi,

I can check if we have data for higher than 1MHz, but we won't have data up to 64.5MHz.  Filtering on the output of the UCC33420, as well as on the input and output of the AMC0202D should help remove the noise.  Is the customer seeing the switching noise on the output of the AMC device?  Is there any data and/or scope captures you can share?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Ahmad,

    Yes, customer can share waveform.

In fact, they don't face any problem because of the correct filter to filter the noise out. So the question is that no strange behavior even >1MHz noise coming to the AMC0202D? In other words, they want to confirm there are no affect on the device operation & no significant PSRR changes.

  • Hi Hayashi,

In terms of PSRR, I wouldn't expect issues above 1MHz, assuming they have configured their input/output filters to attenuate that high frequency range.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Ahmad,

Thank you. Please share the data of PSRR higher than 1MHz when you find it.
