Using OpAmp as attenuator

Is there an OpAmp and circuit diagram that will allow me to attenuate a 0-10V signal to a 0-2.5V output before feeding it into an ADC?

Thank you

  • Naji,

A simple voltage divider is used to bring the voltage down to your desired range. A G=1 buffer is used to drive the ADC. The input buffer is optional and is used to achieve high input impedance. If your source voltage can drive the divider directly, the input buffer is not required. The op amp should be selected according to the conversion speed and requirements of the ADC.
