feedback in op-amp circuits

I am having a doubt regarding feedback in op-amp circuits. when we connect both negative and positive feedback simultaneously in feedback of a op-amp then how its output is calculated(e.g. gyrator circuit using op-amp i.e. simulation of inductor)? What is the impact of positive feedback in such circuits?

Akhilesh,

Assume an ideal op-amp and define both op-amp inputs as the same voltage. Using the feedback components create equations such that both inputs are equal. After some manipulation an application transfer function can be determined.

To get transfer function of such circuit how positive feedback is taken into consideration?
