Is it necessary to connect NC pin to GND?

It is best to connect the NC pins to ground. This helps provide more isloation between the output signals and the power supply pins, which will give better distortion performance.

A direct connection to ground should be fine, R4 and R5 are included on the eval board so it is possible to test the performance without the ground connection.
