Does anyone know when the LM13600 operational transconductnce amplifier was released?

I have contacted the designer Don Sauer but he could only guess late 70s. Does anyone know more accurately?

Hi Merlin,

It was listed as "Newly Added" in the 1978 Linear databook - so I would guess 1976-77.

Though I believe it was originally designed for a major organ company - so it may have been designed a year or two earlier than the public release.

The online system begins at 1983 - so I cannot look back farther than that. But it was discontinued in 1997 (the LM13700 is the updated version).

Don would be the expert...That was the paper records days, so the exact info is not immediately available.
