THS4631 and LM7171A simulation in orcad pspice

Dear all. I am designing a photodiode receiver using THS4631 as transimpidence amplifier and LM717A as a voltage amplifier. I wanted to simulate the circuit in pspice but it gives an error. I downloaded the spice models/files from TI website and pasted them into my orcad library folder. The error is "ERROR -- Subcircuit THS4631 used by X_U2 is undefined". I need your help please. My circuit is as shown below. Some one can try it and see how it performs. I am looking at frequnecy of 2MHz or so. Thank you

Hi Roland,

I don't have access to Orcad, but I've entered your circuit in TINA and simulation seems to run file (no errors). Give it a try (I've attached the TINA file):

4331.LM7171 THS4631 Simulation E2E 7_13_12.TSC

Note: The large resistor values you've chosen for LM7171 will significantly limit your frequency response with device / board parasitic capacitances. OK as long as you're aware of it.

Many thanks Hooman. This is definately the greatest technology forum. I had not used TINA before but it seems to be friendly. I can get the ac analysis curves but how did generate the attached waveforms, are they from the osciloscope facility. Also is the PCB thing working, if not how can i have it work? I definately appreciate your continued support

Hi Roland,

TINA is pretty nice to use. I agree!

To get the waveforms I had shown, select Analysis, Transient, OK. In the window that opens once the simulation is complete (about 1 second), you'll get overlapping plots which you can separate the way I have by selecting View, Separate Curves.
