Using THS4521 for differential input and high gain

HI All,

I want to use the THS4521 as first differential input and high gain stage of 500x. This circuit is running on single +5V supply and offset at 2.5V. My bandwidth requirement is about 10-30khz. is this possible? I modeled this circuit in TINA but I can't get the gain I needed. TINA circuit is included.

Loc,

Two problems I see with your schematic:

a) The shutdown pin is grounded, thereby shuttting off the amp

b) For a gain of 500V/V, your gain is set up wrong. Rf should be 5k assuming Rg is left at 10.

I've updated the schematic to reflect these changes (as well as measuring the output differentially to see the true gain):

With these changes, it appears to simulate properly and you get the expected gain.
