Dual input op-amps: is there any "crosstalk" between the two circuits?

Hi, I was just wondering if there is any coupling between the two input/output sets in dual opamps, such as the OPA 2604.

  • Aaron,

There will always be some degree of crosstalk between channels on dual (or triple, quad, etc) op amp packages.  Whether it's significant or not is the question; many amplifiers specify "Crosstalk" as the metric for seperation.  This particular part specifies crosstalk as "channel seperation."  The datasheet shows 142dB at f=1kHz and Rl=1k Ohm.  There's also a chart on page 6 labeled "Channel Seperation vs. Frequency" that shows the crosstalk performance over a wider frequency range.

  • Aha, thanks, Jeffrey!
