INA226

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA226

Please advise me on how to sue GUI for INA226EVK

When I tried to capture 0.1Hz sin wave using INA226EVK, the waveform seemed
to be sampled every one second on GUI screen even though INA226 sampling
period was set to 140 us.

Can you let me know how to increase the sampling rate of the GUI screen
corresponding to INA226 sampling rate?

  • Mita-san,

There is a limitation in the EVM software and the SM-USB-DIG that is used to communicate with the device.  As it stands, the device is sampled every 800ms.  You can reduce this by modifying the source code (available for download in the product folder).  However, you can only reduce it to ~300mS before you will be limited by the SM-USB-DIG.  Also, you will need a LabVIEW developer's license.

Therefore I recommend using the EVM to evaluate the functionality of the device and placing the device in-system to evaluate optimal performance.

  • Semig-san,

    Thank you for the answer.
