.SUBCKT files from TI's zipped files

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA4354, TINA-TI

Hi, I'm trying to get a .SUBCKT file for a OPA4354 op amp that I can use in simulation programms other than Orcad since I don't have it.  How can I get that file from the zipped folders and files that can be downloaded from the TI web site?  Thanks.

  • HI Mike,

Download the "OPA4354 PSpice Model" ZIP file and unzip it.

The "OPA4354.LIB" file within the "OPA4354_PSPICE_AIO" folder inside the ZIP file is the text SPICE model you can import into other packages.

You may have to change the .lib extension to .txt, .ckt,  or .mod - or whatever your simulator likes, for it to show up.

I know Altium requires a .CKT extension - or it just won't read it.

    Regards,

  • Hi Mike,

If you open the OPA4354 PSpice simulation model file on the product web-page under Tools & Software > Models there is a folder named OPA4354_PSpice_AIO. Within that folder is a file OPA4354.Lib. That file contains the model's syntax listing in a text format. The content is compatible with many other PSpice based simulators. Once you have saved that file you can change the .Lib extension to that required by your PSpice simulator. Then you will have to associate it with a symbol using the methods outlined for your simulator.

If you haven't settled on a particular PSpice circuit simulator you can download TINA-TI from the TI website for free:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/tina-ti

It easy to learn and use and the OPA4354 Reference Design circuit is ready to go.
