Hello,

I'm using the LMH6882 SPICE model that I downloaded from the product webpage. I'm using it in LT SPICE. I can't seem to get the variable attenuation feature to work. Seems no matter what bit pattern I assert on the digital control word I get about 20 dB of differential gain out of the amplifier. I know TI isn't accountable for the SPICE model but I was wondering if anyone else has used it successfully or unsuccessfully and can shed light on why it might not be working. Thanks.

I have not used this model in LT Spice, but I have tested it in TINA-TI (avaiable free from the TI website). The gain steps work in TINA. It seems that they would work in other simulators as well. What voltage levels are you inputting on the logic pins? I used 3V logic in my simulation.

I've tried 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V. it does not seem to matter. It is not that big of a deal, it would just be nicer if I could play with the variable attenuator function some. There is probably some LT SPICE incompatibility buried somewhere.
