Looking for high speed, FDA  amp. for 3,3V or 5V, to replace ADI, ADA4930, for ADC interface (ADS5402).

Need flat BW at 500M,with G=1 0r 2, and low distortion.

  • The LMH6554 is a 5V FDA with very good bandwidth and distortion performance.

The LMH6552 is a 10V FDA that is not quite as fast as the LMH6554 but it may be adequate.

  • Hi,

    Thanks.

Sorry but I forgot to indicated that need dual chanel

  • Because of their excellent performance we have customers who use DVGA amplifiers in fixed gain applications we also have a dual PDA (programmable differential amplifier).

Parts that have performance similar to what you are looking for are the LMH6517 and the LMH6882.

  • Customer claimed that ADI device has better performances than LMH6882.

    do you have comparison table?

  • Hello Eli,

I do not have a table of specifications of the LMH6882 compared to the AD4930.  Looking at the AD4930 datasheet it looks like the LMH6554 is the best part for the desired performance.  Why does the customer need a dual?  Is it board space?

What sort of volumes are predicted for this opportunity?

  • Hi Loren,

The P.N is ADA4930-2 , two Amp's in one package : this is mandatory due to mismatched problems.

Forecast is 5KU. Additional TI devices for this project:

    ADS5402I

    LMK04828

    DAC37J82 /  DAC37J84

     Power

    B.regards

  • Hi Eli,

I rechecked our website and I can only find the following dual amplifiers that have good 500MHz bandwidth.

    LMH6882

    LMH6517

    LMH6521

I think that if the LMH6882 does not meet linearity specifications it is hard for me to recommend anything else.  The LMH6517 and LMH6521 would have a lot of noise at a gain of 1 or 2, although these amplifiers are very linear and have excellent bandwidth.

We have considered a dual LMH6554 in the past.  I will forward this request to our marketing department for future product development.
