amplifier delivering pulses of 2A at f>20MHz to 10-20Ohm + 1uH inductance needed

Hello,

I need to bias an on-chip coil of ~1uH (R~10Ohm) with rectangular current pulses of 2A, duration 1usec, rise time < 50nsec. I can do it with AWG Agilent 33250A (80MHz), but only to the level of ~200mA. I need either to amplify the signal from Agilent or get a separate AWG of high, fast output current. Could you recommend me an amplifier or AWG that would solve my problem? Thanks.

Hi Maciek,

TI does not have an operational amplifier that can provide the 2 ampere output current at the speeds you describe. You might want to check the Apex Microtechnology web page. They have some fast, high current output operational amplifiers and buffer products that may suite your needs
