Using DRV2667 piezo haptic driver with several piezo actuators

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2667

Hi.

I am considering a design of a keypad with a haptic feedback using piezo actuators. It is desirable to place actuator under each key.

Is there a way to use one driver DRV2667 per several piezo actuators (only one actuator can be active in each moment) or I will need separate driver for each actuator?

  • I'm working on something similar. Without any fancy, high-voltage switching to selectively enable actuators, it looks to me like it will take one '2667 each.

A further question is separate addressing of devices.

Every DRV2667 has the same I2C address and I don't see any way to disable the I2C and leave the rest running.

  • Thank you, John.

One DRV2667 per sensor is too expensive for my device. I am thinking of using one DRV2667 with something like
    Supertex HV509 or HV513

There was no much time to check it, so can not say, will it work.

    Wish you success,
