Operating Temperature Range of INA197AIDBVT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA197

As per the data sheet, it is provided that the operating temperature range is -55 to 150 and storage temp range is -65 to 150.

But in the website, it is mentioned that operating temperature is -40 to 125. Which data is correct and to be taken for design?

  • Hi Rajesh,

Thank you for your question regarding the INA197.  Please refer to the INA197 data sheet for considerations regarding your design, the information in the data sheet is correct.  To clarify the meaning of the various temperature ranges discussed, the storage temperature range is the valid range of temperature within which the device may be stored, this is presumed to be in an electrically unbiased condition.  The operating temperature range is the temperature range over which the device is known to exhibit functional behavior.  The specified temperature range is the range over which the device will meet it's published specifications as indicated in the data sheet...keep in mind that not all parameters are specified over temperature.  The data sheet will have indications as to which parameters are specified across temperature vs. room temp only.

I have noted the inconsistency regarding the information for operating temperature range is incorrect on the website and will request that it is changed to reflect the information in the data sheet.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

  • Thanks for your information. I also wanted to know whether the part mentioned is qualified to use in MIL grade modules?

If it is qualified, please provide the test reports or MIL qualification report for the same.

    Regards,

    Rajesh

  • Hi Rajesh,

There are two grades available for this product...

    Commercial:

    Automotive:

  • Hi Ed

Following on from the above, what is the difference between the Commercial and Automotive qualification flow. Can you provide a document to describe the steps or a reference to the (assume) JEDEC standards used? I'm particularly interested in the package/assembly qualification such as number of thermal cycles.

Has the product been considered for the EP range?
