ISO122 Power-up sequence

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO122

Hello,

Please advice ISO122 power-up sequence restriction of –Vs1, +Vs1, -Vs2 and +Vs2.

Regards.

  • Ushikubo-san,

The intended power-up cycle for the ISO122 is the same as it is for nearly all analog integrated circuits; they are intended to have all supplies - positive and negative - brought up simultaneously. That is the way they are powered on and off during internal test and characterization. No special characterization evaluating different power supply sequencing is done.

  • Hello Tomas-san,

    Thank you for your answer.

    Please answer additional question.

    < Q1 >

Are there any power-up restriction between  Vs1 and Vs2 ?

    < Q2 >

    Customer plan to supply “15V +/-5%” to +Vs1/+Vs2 and “-15V +/-5%” to –Vs1/-Vs2.

Please advice if above tolerance between + and – power supply is OK.

    Best Regards.

  • Ushikubo-san,

The normal ISO122 power sequence has all of the supplies, +Vs1, -Vs1, +Vs2, -Vs2 powered up, or down, at the same time. No formal characterization of other power sequences has been done. Although no damage has been reported when customer's have brought +Vs1/-Vs1 before +Vs2/-Vs2, or visa versa, the output behavior during such power sequences has not be characterized and cannot be assured.

    The customer's plan to employ 15V +/-5%” to +Vs1/+Vs2 and “-15V +/-5%” to –Vs1/-Vs2 is very good.

    Regards, Thomas
