TL082CN OUTPUT CURRENT

Would you please tell me what is the typical output current (Io) of a TL082CN? I have search the parameter in the data sheet, but I don't manage to found it. My intention is to use it in a voltage regulator application with Vcc = +18V single supply. Thanks.

    Raymundo,

    A single +18V is OK, but remember that the input common mode range and output range will not include ground.

    The maximum VOH/VOL is about 1.5V from the supply rail and the output resistance is 200 ohms. From this a current drive can be calculated. Figure 9 in data sheet has the same information in a different format.

    Io[sourcing] = (VCC+ -1.5V - VOUT) / 200 ohms

    Io[sinking] = -(VCC- +1.5V - VOUT) / 200 ohms

    In your case VCC+ = 18V and VCC- = 0V.
