I want to measure/integrate a switching current around 50nA. The voltage is around 1.5V. Will this work?

My concern is that the measured current is not at 0V but at 1.1V.

  • Bob,

To do this, both grounds (analog and digital) would need to be platformed up to the 1.5V potential. The digital thresholds would be platformed up to approximately 3.5V, so you would need to use 5V logic signals to assure proper logic highs. The logic low signal should be clamped to 1.5V so the logic inputs are not driven much below the 1.5V potential on a logic low. Furthermore, the output signal would be referred to the 1.5V potential. The output would reset to 1.5V on application of a reset command.

In short, it could be done but it's awkward.

    Regards, Bruce.
