Hi ,

customer want use a vidoe swithcer, sigle 5V power supply. input and output AC couple.

LMH6570 suitable or not? LMH6570 power supply range 6 to 12V,

do we have suitable part suggest?

Hi Jeff,

As you've noted, the LMH6570 requires a minimum 6V supply. I could not find any multiplexers with 5V supply capability within TI. Sorry.

In the past, I've used analog switches for video switching. Is that a possibility here? This might be viable depending on your video standard (e.g. NTSC, etc.)?

Hi Hoomna,

thank you. video standard is CVBS(NTSC.). 2 to 1. cannot accept big chip like LMH6580.

do you have suggestion?

Hi Jeff,

Many of the TS5A series analog switches, with good isolation, are candidates. TS5A3357 isolation is 82dB at 100MHz which should be more than enough, for example. TS5A3159A is 65dB isolation at 1MHz. There are many others to choose from.

Depending on your source drive impedance, output impedance needed, you may or may not need an amplifier to go along. If your inputs are already from an AC coupled voltage source, you could just connect a buffer (gain of 1V/V or 2V/V depending on your needs) to the "COM" pin (for TS5A3159A for example) and select your source by toggling the "IN" pin. You may have to add a voltage divider to the analog switch inputs since you are AC Coupling.

Yes, the LMH6570 is specified with +/-5V (10V) supplies but it also operates from +/-3V (6V) to +/-6V (12V).
