Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL072
Hello,
We currently use a TL072 on an isolated sensing domain, and its power is supplied via a isolated converter/power supply IC. We are seeing some failures in the field where the power supply for the domain isn't starting up properly.
There is no minimum supply voltage or voltage slew specified in the data sheet, but the start-up of the power supply gets stuck with +-2.7V and stays there. Above what voltage is the part specified? From Figure 10 and 15 of the data sheet , the plot starts at around +-3.5V.
Does the part need more current than when running to start properly?
We are trying to determine if some components are drawing too much current at that voltage, and keeping the supply from starting correctly. Does this op-amp have start-up circuits that could be drawing much more current than usual at that voltage? Can anyone imagine why this behaviour might change dramatically?
Thank you for any insights.
