Do you have the TJ value for the TLC3702? I did not see it in the data sheet.

    Hello Jay,

    You didn't specify the package type so I am assuming you need the numbers for the 8-pin D package (SO-8). If you need them for another package, let me know.

    Since we are not seeing any thermal impedance information in the TLC3702 data sheet I looked in the thermal database for general SO-8 package numbers. Here's what's listed:

    θJC   38.3°C/W

    θJA  176°C/W  (Low k)

    θJA   97.5°C/W  (High k)

    The numbers for the TLC3702 may be a little different due to the reference die size difference, but the deviation shouldn't be of concern. Unless a micropower CMOS amplifier/comparator is pushing a lot of output current the self heating is often only a few degrees.
