Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IVC102

Customer has experience of ICV102 damaged on their board and investigating the cause.

Please advise Absolute Maximum Ratings of following terminals because datasheet has no information.

Iin(pin2)

-In (pin3)

C1(pin4)

C2(pin5)

C3(pin6)

  • Ushikubo-san,

Since the IVC102 data sheet does not provide absolute maximum ratings for these pins the most we can provide are what we believe are safe recommendations.

The limiting agents will be the ESD cells that protect the pins and the voltage they can withstand. If the voltage is limited, the current shouldn't ever rise to a damaging level. Having discussed the issue with the IVC102 designer the voltage on this pins should not exceed (V+)+0.3 V, or (V-)-0.3 V. Doing so will keep the ESD cells from being forward biased and conducting any significant current.

It is always best to operate the device in its intended manner and avoid transient electical conditions that could compromise its integrity.
