LM1815 Operational test

Hi,

I am looking for an operational test that is simple to use so I can verify the chip is working correctly.  I have the LM1815 and want to simply connect it to power and input a signal to get another signal out that shows the chip is functioning correctly.  If anyone could help me or knows of a simple test to verify could you please post it.

  • I'm still waiting for a reply for my question but anything such as a test circuit example or another application circuit would help.  I just need something that will allow me to connect voltage going in and receive a correct value at and output.

    The LM1815 is over 35 years old...and is in sustaining mode (we will continue to make it, but there is no further development or promotion). We do not have any evaluation boards or any other collateral other than the datasheet.

    Figure 17 is the typical application circuit. There is not much too it...

    It is available in a 14 pin DIP, which is easily built on a wireless breadboard or wire-wrap board. Speeds are not that great, so layout is not too critical (but still should be "tight").

    The circuit itself is fairly simple to implement. Fine tuning is done with the timing resistors and capacitor values. The input signal needs to be over 30mV peak for proper operation. The resistor in series with the input is needed to limit current. This is all explained in the Application Notes section.
