INA219 Temperature Range

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA219

Hello!

The datasheet for the INA219 (SBOS448C) states that the device has an operating temperature range of -40C to +125C but the TI website states the temperature range is -25C to +85C (http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/ina219.html).  Which is correct?

Regards,

Charles

  • Charles,

I usually trust the datasheet.  It states that the "Specified Temperature Range" is -25C to +85C while the "Operating Temperature Range" is -40C to +125C.  This means that all of the maximum and minimum specifications listed in the data sheet in bold face type will be met over the "Specified Temp Range".  It also means that the part will continue to function properly, but will possibly go outside of the bold face limits over the wider "Operating Temperature Range".

    Regards,
