Can someone explain me the purpose of Sense A pin in INA 2126 . The pin does not exist in single version.I have read the datasheet but did not understand clearly. I hope someone helps me to understand the purpose and the best use of it.
Thank you

Hello neuro11,
The sense terminal allows for greater gain accuracy if you connect the output and sense terminals at the load. This allows the amplifier to adjust for any IR drop between the device an load.
You can also increase the current drive by connecting a current booster in the feedback loop. Such a configuration is located in the INA103 datasheet, Figure 11.
There were not enough pins available to add a sense pin to the single version of the device, so the feedback was routed internally.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for quick reply....
So if i connect the sense pin to output pin (as shown in some example circuit), thats basically same as connecting them internally (such as in single version) right??? or i am missing something here....
Hello neuro11,
That is correct. However, if you run both traces (output and sense) and connect them at the load, the amplifier will compensate for the IR drop between the device and the load.
ohhhh....
thanks Pete, its clear to me now.....
Then i wonder how signifiant is that IR drop. Currently i am using a single version and never even thought of this IR drop.....I looked for the dual version just for the convenience of using a dual channel...
Thanks
