multi-PGA309 question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA309

Hello! I'm Daekeon from Autonics.

I have question on multi PGA309 program.,

I use this program to calibrate our pressure sensor but i don't know some sign that is displayed program window.

Here is a picture.

At this picture, What's the meaning theVin_Low , Vin_High"  ??

I have known that this sign is a differential input voltage of PGA309 . That's Vin1- Vin2.  Is that right?

But, It's not same between displayed value and measure value in person.

When i measured PGA309 Vin voltage at offset state, the value is about 30mV.

but, The displayed value is 5mV.

Please let me know on this question.

  • Hello Daekeon,

You are correct that Vin_Low and Vin_High correspond to the differential input voltage to the PGA309. Vin_Low is the minimum input voltage, and Vin_High is the maximum input voltage.

The PGA309 Multi-Cal calculates this value after measuring the output, using the PGA309 transfer function and the known register settings which control gain and offset. It is possible that there could be some slight error due to rounding or wire resistance, but this looks larger than what those could cause.

Can you confirm what you mean by the offset state? You should measure the input voltage differentially, with power applied and your pressure sensor sending out a typical signal at minimum or maximum pressure.
