Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LOG114

Pin 2 is set to NC (No Connection). Does that mean that it's not connected internally or that nothing can be connected to it. We want to go through pin 2 with a another signal is that ok?

    Hi Tomas,

    Our convention is an NC "no connection" pin designation means that the pin is not connected to any of the integrated circuit's internal circuits i.e. it is floating. If it had a DNC label, "do not connect," it is connected to internal circuits and no external connections should be made to it. 

    Pin 2 of the LOG114 can be connected to another pin, to a dc level, ground, or even a trace carrying a signal. But do keep in mind that pin 2 is adjacent to pin 3, the I2 input. It is a sensitive input pin and you wouldn't want to couple noise, RF, etc., into it. Good analog PC board layout practices should be sufficient.
