OPA2188

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2188

So far, I found some issue about OPA2188, please help us to solve it.

Test power : +5V, -10V; use OPA2188 as voltage follower.

1 ,  When I add input voltage is from 4.3v to 5v on point A, the max output is 4.25v on point B, why it is not rail to rail?

2,  when I add input voltage is 3.6v on point A, the voltage of point B is about 3.8v. The output is always bigger than input. why it is not voltage follower?

  • Hi Henry,

The common mode voltage range of the device is V- to (V+)-1.5V (-10V to 3.5V in your circuit). Therefore having an input greater than 3.5V will be outside the specifications. If an input of 5V is needed, V+ will need to be supplied with at least 6.5V.

    Hope this helps!
