LMH6612 minimum AOL overtemperature

Dear Specialists,

According to the Datasheet P.4,  minimum AOL is 78dB at Tj=25deg,RL = 150Ω and VOUT = 2.5V to 0.5V

My customer wants to know the minimum AOL value at over temperature.

How can he estimate the deviation..

Could you please let me know.

Best regards,

  • Hi Shinichi1,

From this other E2E post of yours about this:

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/high_speed_amplifiers/f/10/p/349543/1225538.aspx#1225538

I see the following simulated trend for Aol over temperature:

    -40C   108dB

    27C    110dB

    125C  108.5dB

Based on above, I'd estimate that the typical Aol variation with temperature is going to be around 2dB. You could add a 1dB to this for guard band, to be safe.

  • Dear Hooman

    Thank you for your reply.

Your suggested data is Vs=+/-2.5V, RL=2k and CL=2pF

    The condition of Datasheet P.4 is V(+)=3V, V(-)=0V, Vs=V(+)-V(-) and RL=150ohm.

I think the conditions are different.

Could I consider the AOL spec is the same?

Also, AOL spec at  the datasheet(P.4) is 78dB minimum. it's quite different from your data.

How can I think of the difference?

    Best regards,

    Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi,

In the absence of any more data to go by, I'd use the ~2dB typical over temperature variation (under both supply and load conditions you have noted). Remember that this is typical simulation data and not measured results, and certainly not something which is tested in production or guaranteed; just a simple guideline for the expected change. Again, this is with supply and load conditions kept constant, while varying the temperature.

Measuring a few units on the bench would be the next best thing, but unfortunately I currently don't have the resources to accomplish. The customer could do their own evaluation, of course. I could provide some guidance in making the measurements, if interested?

    Regards,

    Hooman

  • Dear Hooman

Thank you for your quick reply.

    I understand the situation.

I will explain to the customer.

    I appreciate your kindly help.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi
