Hi,

I'm using a PGA112 stand-alone mode. I have some questions:

When setting up for SPI into the PGA112, is the data width (packet size) 8bits, or 16bits? It appears by the data sheet it is 16 bits...but want to be sure

Should be SPI be set up for full duplex? (Probably not, as DIO is handled integrated?)

Just further comment, a bit of pseudo code in the data sheet could be pretty useful.

Hello Gary,

The PGA112 uses a 16-bit digital "word" for SPI communication. Use the commands, gain selection and MUX control given in tables 3, 5, and 6 of the data sheet.

You are correct that serial data in/out is handled natively from the same pin by the PGA112. If your SPI master is configured for separate MOSI and MISO pins, shorting them together is usually all that's required.
