2274 op-amp

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC2274, TLV2401, TLV2404

Hi. Do the 2274 op-amps have reverse polarity protection ? Thanks

  • Hal,

Do you mean whether the op amp has anti-phase reversal circuitry or back-to-back input protection diodes?  Perhaps you should explain what is it that you are attempting to do that concerns you?  Also, please clearify the op amp model name - there is no OPA2274.

  • Hello Hal,

I suspect you are asking about the TLC2274 CMOS operational amplifiers.

It does not have reverse polarity protection. That is not a commom feature for analog integrated circuits. I know of only one TI operational amplifier family that does, the TLV2401 - TLV2404. The reverse battery protection is a specific design feature of these amplifiers:

Do note that it is a very low power operational amplifier and its electrical specifications are much different than those of the TLC2274. You may not be able to apply it in all circuits where you use the TLC2274.
