TL022C - Operating free-air temperature range

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask TL022C?

<Question>
M version is EOL product, our customer has to use C version instead of M version.
And our cutomer would like to use at Operating free-air temperature range -40C to 105C.
Is the chip(die) of C version the same as M version?

If it is the same, why is there a difference about Operating free-air temperature range between M version(-55C to 125C ) and C version(0C to 70C)?
(Screening?)

On the datasheet, we understand that it is impossible to use at Operating free-air temperature range -40C to 105C,
but if you have some advice could you let us know anything?

Hirotaka-san,

I could not find the TL022M die information for comparison.
The TL022 is an old device and it was common to set the temperature range to be 0C to 70C at that time.
It is quite likely that TL022 will perform well in a -40C to 105C application.
However the customer will have to assume the risk (large or small) for usage outside data sheet specified temperature range.

If business case is large and price adder for extended temperature range is acceptable then I can submit a request for the temperature range extension.

Hi Ron-san

I'm Yuzawa and working with Hirotaka-san as TIJ sales.
We had meeting with my customer, then they seemed to accept their own risk to use TL022C at -40~105C.
They would like to know what parameters might change and how much these ones might be at -40~105C.
Could you let us know if you have any information?

Not much changes across temperature except slew rate.

Here is average data -40C to 85C

-40	0.35	0.51	V/uS
0	0.47	0.67	V/uS
25	0.52	0.75	V/uS
70	0.64	0.92	V/uS
85	0.68	0.98	V/uS

I have no 105C data, but it could be extrapolated from table data.
