INA326 current sensing

Hello,

I want to sense the output charging current of the mobile charger and convert it into a corresponding voltage. Current is in the range of 4 to 6 mA and I expect the voltage to be in the range of 4 to 5 V. My circuit operates at 5V. I found INA326 as one option, is it the right choice, if yes then could suggest me the right circuit design. I have found a document explaining the circuit diagram of INA 326, is this the appropriate circuit for me?slau504.pdf

Hello Rahul,

It sounds to me like your common-mode voltage is "...4 to 5V" and your supply voltage is 5V. Therefore you could use the INA326 in this scenario because the input common-mode range of the INA326 can exceed the positive supply voltage by 100mV.

TIPD104, however, is configured for low-side sensing. For information about current sensing, please refer to the following articles:
