Pspice model for THS4521

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS4521

Which parameter in pspice model is input voltage noise? In datasheet, it is 4.6 nv. I want to change it to simulate it in Tina.

  • Hello Steven,

    The TINA model has the typical value of noise included.  I am not sure how to change it.

    Regards,

    Loren

    * THS4521 SUBCIRCUIT
    * HIGH SPEED MONOLITHIC FULLY DIFFERENTIAL AMPLIFIER
    * THIS MODEL SIMULATES TYPICAL VALUES FOR THE FOLLOWING:
    * OUTPUT VOLTAGE LIMIT, INPUT VOLTAGE NOISE, INPUT BIAS CURRENT,
    * TYPICAL VALUES FOR INPUT OFFSET VOLTAGE AND OFFSET BIAS CURRENT,
    * CURRENT DRAW FROM POWER SUPPLY
    * BANDWIDTH IS RIGHT IN GAIN OF +1V/V
    * SLEW RATE IS CLOSE TO WHAT IS REPORTED IN THE DATA SHEET
    * THIS MODEL WILL NOT PROVIDE ACCURATE SIMULATION OF:
    * CMRR AND PSRR, INPUT CURRENT NOISE, INPUT OFFSET, OPEN LOOP GAIN
    * source THS4521

  • In fact, I would like to evaluate the noise after going through THS4521. How? My application is differential input and differential output. The gain of amplify is 6~9. The voltage is 5V for THS4521. The bandwidth of signal is 1Khz~1Mhz.

  • The simulation program will calculate the output noise. In TINA under the "Analysis" menu select "Noise Analysis" . The Noise Analysis menu allows a start frequency, stop frequency, signal amplitude and options on what diagrams to display.

    The gain and signal voltage are included in the calculation.
