My Question is, "am i able to supply pins 4 & 7 straight from a bride rectifier or does if have to be a - voltage?

Hi Dave,
Operational amplifier such as the LM741 were most often applied using dual, plus/minus supplies. Their common-mode input voltage range and output voltage range are best utilized with dual supplies. They can be used with a single supply, but then their common-mode input and output voltage ranges need to be referenced to about half the applied supply voltage. Doing this often requires a reference voltage be established at level, or close to it.
Take a look at this information from TI's Op Amps for Everyone book. It shows some comparisons between the dual, and single-supply implementations of common op amp circuits:

Hi Dave,
I suggest you take a look at TI's Webench Filter Designer tool. You coud use it to help you synthesize a 50 Hz band-pass filter. There is some tutorial information on the web page that should help get you started:
