Low Power Unity Gain OpAmp!

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a low power unity gain opamp to drive the ADC on CC 2540. The opamp will receive an input from an external sensor.The VDD for the ADC on CC2540 is 3V and so far the smallest opamp I could get was 5V.

There are many amplifiers available that will operate with supply voltages of 3V and less. Below is a link you can use to sort through them. If you can provide a little more information about the performance goals we can help narrow down the search.

Hi Collin,

I am looking for a unity gain buffer ( I to V converter). The ADC has upto 14 bit resolution and the amp will have to perform well in that range. Also low Noise and distortion and high frequency. I know these are not enough info but I can look into it if you can tell me what parameters I should be considering for this task. I'm new to this and any help/info will be appreciated.

Hi Bita,

Consider using the OPA320 in your application. It is a precision amplifier with good offset and drift specifications, a 20MHz bandwidth, and 8.5nV/rt(Hz) broadband noise. It is features rail-to-rail input and output stages that operate with supply voltages as low as 1.8V.
