Help to  find a replace material of LM308-N, for it is EOL.

  • Hello Shuyan,

The LM308 is unique in that you can externally compensate it (adjust the BW). So the value of the capacitor between pins 1 and 8 is needed to determine the set bandwidth and compensation.

With the standard 100pF comp cap, it is a 1MHz single op-amp. If it is less than 100pF, it is in "decompensated" mode and requires closed loop gain. If the cap is greater than 100pF, it is "overcompensated" (running slower than needed - usually to reduce noise or improve stability).

There are some high rel versions of the LM308, but they will be very, very, very expensive. LT also makes a LM308A.

What is the value of the compensation capacitor? Then we can suggest a replacement.

    Regards,
