OPA360 SAG pin question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA360

Hi,

I am using OPA360, Rin is 75ohm. When we tested burst vecor, it can't pass. So we change Cout to 220uF and be floating SAG(remove 22uF). It can pass the test. Do you have any good suggestion? Can I float the SAG pin? Thanks!

  • Hello,
    Anyone can help it? Thanks!
  • Hi Jerry,

The OPA360 originally was characterized using the industry standard video performance criteria listed on data sheet pg. 7. Your particular burst vector test might be different enough from them that the SAG correction isn't as effective with it. If you find the OPA360 meets your performance requirements simply using a 220 uF output coupling capacitor, then there is no harm not utilizing the SAG Correction function. Simply let the SAG pin float.
