Hello,

I would like to know the failure conditions for AFE031. We have matched the circuit and taken all necessary precautions but here is till some failure. Please can you the possible reasons for failure

Hello Jose,

We have integrated AFE031 on our board and observed it to be working satisfactory. Recently, we have added a relay card, with the 12 relays switching the AFE031 seemed to have failed. In order to take necessary precautions related to the noise etc. I would like to know the adverse effects at which AFE031 will fail

Hello Nidhi,

In most cases, exceeding the absolute maximum ratings of the AFE031 (see page 2 of its datasheet) causes damage to the device.

Any voltage spikes related specifications or current surge related specs if you could provide

Hello Nidhi,

If a voltage (whether a spike or sustained) or current (whether a spike or sustained) exceeds the absolute maximum ratings of the AFE031 (see page 2 of its datasheet and below) then damage will occur.
